Now that your business has a computer, you have to get the word out to your potential customers. You and your partners have decided that the best way to do this is a newsletter. You decide that the newsletter should be at least two pages long and should explain what your business does and a very short bio for each partner. The newsletter should also include things such as any special "grand opening" offers, informative information about your business, why someone would need the product or services that you are offering, or what ever else you and your partners feel is important. Be imaginative.
You and your partners have also started to compile a mailing list of customers. These will be the people you will be sending your first newsletter to. To make your newsletter more personal, you and your partners are going to use the mail merge option in Word to create a personalized letter to each customer on your list. After creating the template, your team should perform the mail merge and print out the letter to each person on your list. A copy of the newsletter, mail merge letter, customer mailing list, and personalized letters, meeting the criteria listed below, should be submitted in a neat package by the due date. Due Date: October 6, 2006 |
A copy of your mailing list consisting of at least 10 customers with names and complete addresses
A print out of the template for the letter you are using for your mail merge.
A copy of each letter to accompany the newsletter which is customized for each customer on your mailing list using Word's mail-merge option.
